Camano Critters: CoyoteCoyotes on Camano Island have a pretty tough go of it! Starving, ragged, flea infested, hated.. These critters are screamed at, shot at, stoned, and ferociously chased by dogs and humans alike.. As Camano becomes more and more populated their go must certainly become more difficult - with less wild game to hunt and less remote area to live in. This fellow here looked like he'd been hit by a car and dragged - either that or he has a horrible case of mange. Once he realized I had spotted him, he wasted no time running away - making it hard to get clear photos.

this is very very sad; to think that people treat these animals so terribly; I think that more should be done to see that they don't have to starve to death.I saw one on the side of 532 in Stanwood yesterday and my heart went out to the poor thing. They are part of this world and put here for a purpose; just like human beings. I just cannot be cruel to any animal.
