Tadpole Masses

Every year, usually around March, gelatinous masses - the size of medium water balloons - start appearing in ponds around Western Washington.   Here is just another of nature's wonders:  the progression of new life - from masses to tadpoles to frogs.    I was mentioning this annual occurrence to a friend who had never seen such a thing - she asked me if I would post some photos..
